Management goals

Uppsala Akademiförvaltning is an active manager of capital assets whose ultimate goal is to strengthen research at Uppsala University. The foundation has no private interest of its own; all proceeds go to grants, several kinds of research-supporting measures, and other activities at the University.

Uppsala Akademiförvaltnings current total assets equal SEK 8,6 billion in market value, of which agricultural, forestry, and other properties stand for 4,7 billion kronor and finance management stands for the other 3,9 billion.

Proceeds in 2014 were SEK 385 million.in accordance with the provisions of the foundation, about 79 million kronor were put back into the restricted capital of the sub-foundations. This gave the foundations SEK 237 million to dispose with for their purposes.
